Isotope Logistics

You run a radiopharmaceutical network. F-18 loses half its activity every 110 minutes, Ga-68 every 68, Tc-99m grows in from Mo-99 as it travels, and Ac-225 is precious. Pick one of twelve scenarios, build roads, buy vehicles, ride out reactor outages, storms and customs holds, and keep hospitals supplied.

Inspired by OpenTTD (opens in a new tab) and open-source-games (opens in a new tab); decay physics from radioactivedecay (opens in a new tab); delivery windows in the spirit of IsotopeRelay (opens in a new tab).

About this tool

What is Isotope Logistics game?

Runs in your browser

Isotope Logistics is a free browser transport game in the spirit of OpenTTD: build roads, run shielded vans and air couriers from reactors, cyclotrons and generator labs to hospitals, and beat the half-life with real decay physics across twelve scenarios.

Key features

  • Twelve scenarios from a free sandbox to Mo-99 shortages, Ac-225 scarcity, winter storms and multi-isotope networks
  • Real decay physics: F-18, Ga-68, Tc-99m (Mo-99 ingrowth), Cu-64, Zr-89, I-123, I-131, Lu-177, Y-90 and Ac-225
  • Disruption events: reactor outages, cyclotron breakdowns, floods, grounded flights, customs holds and demand surges
  • Delivery deadlines, budgets, reputation and star ratings
  • Keyboard-accessible toolbar, dispatch log and fleet panel

How it works

  1. Pick a scenario and read its objectives
  2. Build roads from producers to hospitals
  3. Create van or air routes and choose the isotope
  4. Handle disruption events and meet the goal before time runs out

Frequently asked questions

Is the Isotope Logistics game realistic?

The decay is real: every activity comes from ICRP-107 data via radioactivedecay. Prices, batch sizes, doses and travel times are simplified for teaching and are not clinical figures.

Which scenarios are included?

Open network sandbox, FDG morning rush, Mo-99 shortage week, theranostics day, Ga-68 generator rounds, Ac-225 scarcity, winter storm, island hospitals, cyclotron breakdown, customs and cross-border, demand surge and a full multi-isotope network.

Why does Tc-99m grow during transport?

Tc-99m travels as its Mo-99 parent in a generator. Mo-99 keeps decaying into Tc-99m on the road, so the game calculates real ingrowth rather than simple decay.
